Mysterious or Suspicious?

"an enigma wrapped in a riddle, surrounded by mystery"..

Quick history review...
Bush43 takes office (takes being the operative word)..
Dick Cheney has secret energy meeting..
US attacked by a bunch of Arabs on Sept 11..
"Operation Enduring Freedom" the Afghan invasion..
"Operation Iraqi Freedom" the Iraqi invasion..

Have you heard the phrase "It's the pipeline, stupid"?
In Afghanistan it's the natural gas pipeline..
And in Iraq it's the oil (pipeline)..

Nov.5, 2009
"The consortium led by Exxon Mobil, which includes Shell, won the contract to develop West Qurna Phase One oilfield," Oil Ministry spokesman Asim Jihad said.

That is what they wanted, right?
That is why they orchestrated an illegal invasion of these countries, right?
"This apparent military strategy complements the explicit U.S. energy strategy, which since the mid-1990s has focused on pipelines either south through Afghanistan or west through the Caucasus to gain access to Central Asian petroleum without depending on Russian pipelines."

and...
"Vice-President Dick Cheney, as former CEO of the oil-services company Halliburton, is himself a veteran of the U.S. oil presence in Central Asia and has often spoken in public about the importance of the Caspian basin. He met last spring with many of the companies whose oil investments in the Caspian basin are now languishing. One wonders if Bush's current military strategy was discussed at Cheney's Energy Task Force meetings, by the U.S. oil companies whose current investments in Central Asia are stymied by the exorbitant rates charged by Russian pipelines."

On occasion I get sucked into conspiracy theories. I believe you have to be a little paranoid but at the same time if it walks like a duck...

"There are designs of this pipeline, and if you look at the deployment of US forces in Afghanistan, as against other NATO country forces in Afghanistan, you'll see that undoubtedly the US forces are positioned to guard the pipeline route. It's what it's about. It's about money, it's about oil, it's not about democracy."

So it's not about 9/11, terrorism and the hunt for Osama bin Laden, it's about America's energy needs... 'It's about the oil pipeline corridors stupid'..

I would like to see us withdraw from Iraq & Afghanistan asap but in the meantime; while we wait; can we at least prosecute Bush, Cheney & Rumsfeld for war crimes, crime against humanity and war profiteering?
Start with these three and let the chips fall where they may..
