RIP Michael Hastings
Terrible news today as one of the best journalists America has to offer dies in an early morning car crash in LA..
Michael Hastings is dead at 33.
Michael might have been best known for his work at Rolling Stone and specifically the article "the Runaway General" that cost General Stanley McCrystal to fall from grace.
Hastings's style was raw, a no sugar on it kind of reporting that clearly distinguished him from a plethora of DC's mouthpieces that did nothing more than regurgitate what they were fed.
He will be missed.
