This News is VERY Important!

Admiral William Fallon, the U.S. Centcom Commander has stepped down.
As Centcom Commander he oversaw strategies in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. On a daily basis he could be found in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The admiral was put under pressure by an article in Esquire magazine that portrayed him as a dissenter willing publicly to oppose the president's line on Iran.
The Commander has spoken up several times at Congressional hearings and to the press the past year to suggest a military confrontation with Iran would be ill advised.

Jim Miklaszewski, NBC News Chief Pentagon Correspondent
"WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon sharks are circling CENTCOM Commander Adm. William "Fox" Fallon for a magazine interview in which he appears to openly criticize President Bush on the administration's Iran policy. The very public comments raised speculation Fallon would either volunteer or be forced to resign."
Most military leaders are against military strike on Iran.
"Gates has said publicly and privately that under current conditions he's opposed to war with Iran. Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen is also against it. In fact, almost every senior military officer we've talked to is against launching military strikes against Iran, because as one senior official told us, "then what do you do?"

He has served only one year as Centcom Commander but the Admiral's advise has repeatedly fallen on deaf ears. Here is a man that demonstrated patience and the ability to engage those in conflict with diplomacy, which is not a tactic shared by the spastic sable rattlers in the White House. He did feel increasing the number of troops in Iraq was not the best strategy (the "Surge") which put him at odds with Petraeus and Bush.
"The simple perception that there is makes it difficult for me to effectively serve America's interests there," he said in a statement.

You know what happened to "Eric Shinseki".
It's pretty bad when the "If you're not with us, you're against us" mentality rears it's ugly head against our own Commanders.

The series of events that have unfolded that have me worried started when they "accidentally" flew live nukes from Minot AFB in North Dakota over the US(as opposed to around the coastline)straight to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana which they use as the Iraq jump point.
That 'accident' should have been a 'wake up call'!
Follow that event with Admiral Fallon being pushed out and what do you think will happen next?

Our army is not strong enough to support another invasion, so what are the options if war is your prime directive?
I fear the neocons will have no compunction about using nukes in Iran.
I hope that I am wrong and just being paranoid.

The Character of Hillary

This perverted race towards the dems nominee has someone's panties in a bunch.
Hillary is becoming quite testy.
As the race draws closer to another SUPER TUESDAY, stress maybe taking it's toll.

I believe her true colors are beginning to show as her character appears to wain. The Clinton camp seems desperate and I don't expect to see her back off politely and honor Obama as the nominee if he were to win. Her desperation seems to fuel the self obsession to be President.
There is already talk that she(and Bill) might try to call in favors and manipulate the results of the popular vote with super delegates.
Tell me this system ain't broke.

Now it appears with the cheap shots at Obama and that fear mongering ad directed at the weak minded voters her attitude takes center stage and moves way past all the feigned sweet talk we have seen from time to time in in the debates. The gloves come off and she bares her teeth.

The ad I refer to "It's 3:00am and your children are safe and asleep," the voice over says. "There's a phone in the White House, and it's ringing. Something is happening in the world. Your vote will decide who answers that call" seems like something out of the Karl Rove play book.
Fear mongering at it's best. What's next an "Orange Alert"?
The threat level must be high or the demented mind that served up this crap is.
Pure and simple it preys on peoples fear. If it's good enough for George and Dick, it must be good enough for Hillary. It probably gives McCain some wood.
I've got news for you Hillary, you ain't good enough for me and a lot of people that are more afraid of you and Bill back in the White House than a stupid ad.
You might ask, is this any way for a Presidential Candidate to act?

Watching as her support comes and goes seems to bring out the worst in her.
Maybe she should do the right thing and step aside.
You can go back to the the Senate and try NOT to start another war and Bill can continue to jet-set around the world continuing his humanitarian efforts.

I have not been a fan of Obama but I think we could do worse. What I want is
some REAL PROGRESSIVE CHANGES made. Is that too much to ask?
Kucinich would have been good for this country.
Mr. Nader would also be very good for this country but between the screwed up electoral system and the freakin' media I don't see that happening.
We can only hope.
Obama seems like a good guy and I "hope" he will make a good President.
One thing is for sure his image has to improve America's image in regards to the rest of the world.
