The Search for Truth

The latest poll shows that People don't believe Bush is honest!
Duh.. What was your 1st clue?

There is an old saying: 'A man is only as good as his word.'
Ol' Dubya likes to throw out promises and catch phrases but falls way short when it comes time to follow up and deliver.
I wonder what happened to his agenda with some of these little gems ?
"I will restore honor and integrity to the White House."
"I'm a compassionate conservative."
"Leave no child behind."
"I'm a uniter, not a divider."
"A reformer with results."
"It's the people's money, not the Governments."

This would be funny if it were comedy but it's not and it's pathetic.
I must be naive but for the life of me I cannot understand how he can fail so horribly with all the resources at his disposal. The scary part is how he has wasted all the resources at this disposal.
Why can't a person in this position surround himself with the best and brightest ?
You don't have to be summa cum laude(or even a "C" student) if you can manage your people and deliver positive results.
George seems more concerned to surround himself with loyal ass kissers.

The image of this White House and the American political system has degraded expendentially around the globe. America used to be a shining beacon and positive example of how things can be when democracy and freedom is allowed to prosper.
Lately there has been a "Who's Who" of criminal activity on Capitol Hill.
It appears to be business as usual for some of these politicians.
Politician is almost a bad word any more. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you say it.
All the investigations, all the lies(even under oath), some money laundering and manipulation of campaign funds, insider stock trading and the leaks. Man, we have leaks and we have treason.
Shining beacons for all the world to see.

I will now bow my head in shame..
